We are seeking an experienced and professional Lead Host to join our team at Nubé, The Restaurant People’s newest rooftop destination. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality in a vibrant and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to lead and support the host team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations efficiently, using reservation software to coordinate seating and wait times.
- Oversee the host team, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations and guest satisfaction.
- Assign tables and manage guest flow, balancing reservations and walk-ins to maximize seating efficiency with Opentable.
- Communicate with the management team and kitchen staff regarding special requests, large parties, or seating adjustments.
- Assist with training new host staff and provide ongoing support to ensure top-notch service.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any seating or service-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized host area, including menus and seating charts.
- Monitor dining room capacity and ensure adherence to seating policies, maintaining a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
- Foster a positive work environment by leading by example and ensuring team morale.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience working in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- A passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude with a team player mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure with grace and ease.
- Love of exceptional food, modern drinks, and exquisite style.
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to quality, consistency, and maintaining a clean, organized, and inclusive environment.
- Leadership abilities and experience training or mentoring other staff members.
